Back in Cusco 17-20 March 2007

We had three nice days back in Cusco. On the Sunday everyone in the main square was dressed up and there was a march taking place.

We also went horse riding for the first time during our trip. It was hard to refuse as it was $12 for three hours. We rode western style to different ruins and had a look around at each. It was a gentle ride with only the odd trot but was quite pleasant. In the usual South American style, at the end of the ride, we were left at Sacsayhuaman (pronounced "Sexy Woman") to make our own way back down into Cusco on foot.

It was fun having photos taken with the Alpacas and the locals. One night we saw a show where they used local instruments, and various fantastically dressed characters turned up; of course the woman dancers were vigorously shaking their booties! We stayed in quite a nice hotel, the Royal Inka I; it was very central and we also had a bath in our room.
