Steve's Birthday 30th July 2007

On Steve's birthday we went on a cruise on the Balmoral around the Severn Estuary. It was a glorious day and we cruised around Steep Holm and Flat Holm and over to Penarth.

Steve's mum made him a lovely birthday cake, Helen also attempted to make one! and we had dinner in the evening at Helen's dads.

Sophie's Wedding 21 July 2007

Saturday 21st July 2007 was Sophie and Craig's wedding. The ceremony was at Wraxall church. Peter, Soph's dad walked her down the aisle. Soph looked fantastic in a very elegant dress.

The reception was held at Leigh Court, we had a lovely three course meal and got to chat to Soph's sister Louise who was also a bridesmaid. Soph is now enjoying the sunshine in Mexico.

The Queen visits Yatton, 20th July 2007

We were honoured to have the Queen visit Yatton on Friday 20th July 2007. She arrived on the Royal Train at Yatton Station, a quick 5 minute walk from our house. As usual for this summer it was raining ,which was a shame, but didn't deter the residents of Yatton;

the streets were lined with people and flags. She and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived on time at 10am and we got to see her briefly as her car went past us.
It was nice to see some royalty in our home town.
